1 tablespoon oil

3 tablespoons butter
·
1 pound potatoes, cut into wedges or bite sized pieces
·
1 pound steak (flank, strip loin, rib eye, etc.)
·
salt and pepper to taste
·
4 cloves garlic, chopped
·
1 pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
directions
1. Heat
the oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat, add the potatoes and cook
until lightly golden brown on all sides, about 15 minutes, before setting
aside.
2. Add
the steak, seasoned with salt and pepper to taste, to the skillet and cook over
medium-high heat until lightly golden brown on all sides, about 10 minutes.
3. Add
the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant, about a minute.
