Turkey Pasta Carbonara

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 6 slices bacon chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion minced
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • 12 ounce carton McCormick Simply Better Turkey Gravy
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese plus more for serving
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 cup peas thawed from frozen
  • 2 cups cooked turkey diced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

INSTRUCTIONS

1.            Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package directions.
  1. Place the bacon in a large pan over medium high heat. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until browned and crisp. 
  2. Remove the bacon from the pan with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  3. Add the onion to the remaining bacon fat in the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until softened. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Add McCormick Simply Better Turkey Gravy and the cream to the pan. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until just thickened. Stir in the parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.
  6. Drain the pasta. Add the pasta to the gravy sauce along with the turkey, peas and bacon. Toss to combine.
  7. Sprinkle with parsley, then serve. Top with additional parmesan cheese if desired.
