This recipe is dairy free, gluten free, Slimming World and Weight Watchers friendly
·      Extra Easy - 1 HEa and 0.5 syns per serving
·      Original/SP - 1 HEa and 0.5 syns per serving
·      WW Smart Points - 9
·      Dairy Free/Paleo - omit cheese
·      Gluten Free - ensure starch you use is free of gluten

Ingredients    

For the base:
·      600g of extra lean ground beef (mince)
·      1 tbs of tapioca, arrowroot or cornstarch (1.5 syns)
·      1/2 tsp of sea salt
·      1/4 tsp of garlic powder
·      1/4 tsp of onion powder
·      1/4 tsp of chilli powder
·      1/4 tsp each of dried basil and parsley
·      pinch of black pepper
·      spray oil
For the sauce
·      1 cup (240ml) of passata
·      1 tbs of tomato paste
·      1/2 tbs of sukrin: 1 (or other sweetener of choice)
·      1/4 tsp of garlic powder
·      1/4 tsp of onion powder
·      1/4 tsp of oregano
·      fresh basil leaves chopped
For the toppings:
·      150g (5.5 oz) of mozzarella, grated
·      1/2 small red onion, finely sliced
·      1/3 of a red bell pepper sliced,
·      1/3 of a yellow bell pepper sliced
·      3 mushrooms, thinly sliced
·      (or use your own toppings of choice)
·      fresh basil, chopped
·      fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1.   Preheat oven to 232c (450f)
2.   Add to a bowl, all the ingredient for the base and mix just till combine.
3.   Grease dish with spray oil
4.   Add meat mixture to dish and flatten firmly all across the dish, so it is an equal thickness.
5.   Using a fork, pierce all over the base.
6.   Place in the oven and bake for 10 mins.
7.   In a bowl mix together the ingredients for the sauce.
8.   Once base has cooked for 10 minutes, remove from oven and spread  sauce all across the top. Juice will of released from base, but do not pour out, as it  will help keep the base from drying out. 
9.   Add 2/3 of the mozzarella, then add all toppings as suggested or toppings of your choice.
10. Top with the remaining 1/3 of mozzarella and place back in the oven and bake for another 10 minutes.
11. Then place under the broil (grill) for a couple of mins, just till the top is lovely and golden (keep an eye on it as this stage, as it will brown on top very quickly)
12. Sprinkle with fresh chopped Italian parsley and basil
13. Slice with a pizza cutter and carefully transfer to a plate of board.
14. Serve with a mixed salad and enjoy!!!
